Issues I Work With

Dedicated to helping you navigate the impact of imbalances, stress, chronic stress conditions, chronic pain, self-esteem, self-confidence, work, relationship and family issues, and the impact of perimenopause and menopause. Changing hormonal health due to natural biological changes and how stress impacts hormonal balance, and wellbeing can negatively affect our mind and body. Anxiety, depression, brain fog, fatigue, and chronic pain can all be part of the mix.

Trauma and pain from stressful life events can build upon existing symptoms, diminishing our body’s tolerance for stress management. If left untreated, these symptoms can lead to on-going conditions such as chronic pain, panic attacks, and/or depression, as well as negative habits and behaviours such as addiction or low self-esteem. If the stress becomes chronic, it can result in physical symptoms that are consistent with Chronic pain, Chronic Fatigue, M.E., Fibromyalgia, migraines, and IBS. These chronic conditions are at times also referred to as tension myositis syndrome (TMS), psychosomatic disorder, mind-body symptoms or stress-induced disorders.

Balancing the nervous system

Adopting a holistic approach supports overall mental clarity, resilience, and self-awareness, promoting harmony between mind, body and spirit for a more balanced approach to inner wellbeing. The body treats all stress the same – whether from an actual traumatic incident, work or relationship pressures, poor diet or changing female hormones, and cortisol is released (for survival).

Our adrenal glands prioritise making cortisol and then find it difficult to ‘make’ and secrete the sex hormones required as our ovaries begin to stop releasing oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone. This hormonal imbalance creates more stress – mental, physical and emotional. Our nervous system finds it difficult to help us feel at ease (it is deregulated) and pressure is put on our autonomic nervous system. We are out of balance. But we can take control by learning how to regulate our nervous system.

Get in touch

The first step is for us to have a free 30-minute discovery Zoom video call, which will help to ensure that I am the right therapist for you. Then, with your consent, we will work together to establish the best approach to give you the support you need.

My therapy sessions are relaxed and informal. I will never judge you; I am only here to support you to find balance and equilibrium and make positive changes.

Together, we will work at your pace, and you will learn a unique set of tools to help you cope with any challenges that may arise in the future. Ideally, a minimum of six sessions is recommended.

After your discovery call you will be sent an email with a new Calendly invitation to book and confirm your first session. Payment is taken at this time.

You will receive a questionnaire about you, which can act as the foundation for your first session. We can and will fill this out in more detail as we work together. This is asked to be returned 48 hours before your first session.

For complex situations ideally, a minimum of six sessions is recommended.
