I have over twenty-five years of experience in supporting individuals to treat stress-induced illnesses and conditions, hormonal imbalances to anxiety, depression, trauma and chronic conditions. Driven by my own lived experience of these stressors which affect our body, thoughts, feelings, and behaviour, I am passionate about helping and educating others with these types of symptoms.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I use an individualised holistic approach tailored to your needs. I am qualified in EMDR, EFT and psychotherapy, wellbeing coaching, hypnotherapy, yoga teaching and reiki as well as trauma-based somatic practices and draw on a selection of therapy models to provide you with the best care.
Together, in a confidential, non-judgmental, and safe environment, we will uncover the root of your issues, we will look at soothing and finding balance within an overactive, underactive or unregulated nervous system. We will look at the accelerator of your ‘fight or flight’ parasympathetic nervous system, and the ‘brake’ of rest and digest of your sympathetic nervous system, as well as your gut or second brain of the enteric nervous system to find and create an inner balance, calm, resilience and vagal tone.
Our bodily systems are complex and hugely interlinked, the body wishes to create homeostasis or balance. Historically, the Western allopathic medical profession has tended to treat our physical symptoms in isolation, disconnected from our mental and emotional worlds. More research has emerged over recent years which challenges this approach.
Today, we have a fuller understanding of the ways our thoughts and emotions influence our physical symptoms, so we are better able to regulate our nervous system building resilience to deal with life stressors and leading to knowledge of how to create vagal tone and take some control back.
That’s why I use a holistic approach to treating stress-induced and hormonal-related issues (such as menopause and other women's health conditions). Treating symptoms alone might get us so far. But our symptoms are connected to so many aspects of ourselves and our lives.
I am experienced as a specialist in working with ADHD, Autism and Neurodiversity. I can help you with action-based strategies to help build emotional regulation, manage overwhelm and burnout, as well as support you with tailored strategies to help your specific needs.
Together, we build a collaborative process, where we explore your unique strengths and challenges, develop personalised strategies and create practical simple and effective tools.
I bring a diverse toolkit to my work as a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, wellbeing coach, yoga teacher, meditation teacher, EMDR, EFT and somatic therapist. This range of certifications allows me to tailor my approach to your needs and create a unique blend of therapies to suit you.
These therapies enable me to support you in a holistic way. In our time together we can work with the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of your journey, as well as your wider circumstances.
Together, we will work to identify which treatment options will work best for your individual wellbeing and apply them at a pace you are comfortable with.
Our shared goal is to get you on the path to a healthier and happier life. Book your discovery call now or visit my frequently asked questions to learn more.
